Tutorial: Syncrhonizing external audio with video with Adobe Premiere CS4

Summary:

  1. Record audio and video on separate, dedicated devices
  2. Use a clapperboard to make a loud, audible marker at the beginning of the recording session
  3. Import the audio file (MS WAVE) and video file (DV) into Adobe Premiere CS4
  4. Move the audio track to align with the in-camera audio using the clapperboard sound as a marker
  5. Delete original audio
  6. Export the newly synchronize seqence for DVD or the Web
